College of Fine Arts honors
outstanding graduates

May, 3 --Eight students in the College of Fine Arts at Arkansas State University were recognized recently during Convocation of Scholars as the most outstanding graduates of their respective degree programs, according to Dr. Dan Reeves, dean of the college.
           
In the Department of Art, the graduating senior award was presented to Alexi Elizabeth Lamm of Jonesboro, BFA, graphic design.

In the Department of Music, awards went to Tina Glover Bennett of Piggott, BA, music; Carly Gorman of Little Rock, BM, music composition; Thomas Head of Little Rock, BM, instrumental performance; Andrew Kjorlaug of Paragould, BM, vocal performance; Allene Kirk of Ravenden, BME, instrumental music education; Keith Westbrook of Benton, BME, vocal music education.

In the Department of Theatre, the award recipient was Ashlee R. Wiseman of Searcy, BFA, theatre, design technology emphasis.

Each award is based on academic achievement and contributions to the respective department.  All students participated extensively in College of Fine Arts activities and won many honors while pursuing their degrees at ASU.
