Awards were presented to the top student in each degree program, based on scholarship, leadership, and service, according to Dr. Russ Shain, dean of the College of Communications, and Dr. Herman Strickland, dean of University College.

Those graduating in December of 2006 as well as May and August of this year were eligible.

Those receiving departmental awards were Holly Clark of Cabot, journalism (advertising emphasis); Brent Madison Walker of North Little Rock, radio-television (production video/audio emphasis); Callie Leigh Aist of Cabot, BSE, communication studies; Mary Beth Tucker of Batesville, BA, communication studies.
