College of Agriculture honors
outstanding graduating students

May, 3 -- The most outstanding graduates of the College of Agriculture at Arkansas State University were recently recognized at the college’s annual honors banquet during Convocation of Scholars, according to Dr. Greg Phillips, dean of the College of Agriculture.

The outstanding graduate awards were presented to the senior in each degree program who has excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to the respective departments.

Those receiving awards were:

Steven Daniel Craig of Marked Tree, BSA, agricultural business (emphasis in agricultural marketing and management);

Austin Kennon of Bono, BSA, agriculture education;

Nanci Solis of Batesville, formerly of Siloam Springs, BSA, animal science (pre-veterinary medicine emphasis); and

Jason Pitcher of Pocahontas, BSA, plant science (emphasis in agronomy).
