College of Fine Arts honors Mike Randleman as distinguished alumnus

April 14, 2009 -- Arkansas State University-JonesASU Theatre's distinguished alumnus Mike Randleman will be the featured luncheon speaker at the College of Fine Arts annual Honors Luncheon, Friday, April 17.boro's College of Fine Arts will honor Mike Randleman as its distinguished alumni speaker at the annual Honors Luncheon on Friday, April 17, at 12 noon in Fowler Center's Grand Hall. Randleman graduated from ASU in 1983 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, with roots in Rector, Arkansas, Mike is a veteran actor residing in California who has appeared on stage, screen, and television. He has appeared in numerous television and film productions, including Cinderella Story, The Drew Carey Show, Arrested Development, and Real Time with Bill Maher. He has been a recurring guest star on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno where he has appeared 178 times. He has worked improvisational theatre and is skilled in stage combat.

Randleman will conduct an improvisational theatre workshop Thursday, April 16, at 2 p.m. and give an artist’s talk Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the black box theatre in Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.
