2006-Present Assist Vice President, Director of Development, SC State University - South Carolina Responsibilities include: serve as the University’s chief development officer, with responsibility for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy and solicitation plan for visibility and to increase the volume and magnitude of gifts/investments to the University. Also, lead the process of building a robust fundraising operation that will lead to an upcoming capital campaign, and handle donor/prospect, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to ensure consistency and success in the development program at the University.
2008-Present Executive Director for Student Affairs South Carolina State University Responsibilities include: collaborating with campus and community constituencies to develop and improve policies, programs and services aimed at supporting student learning, success and satisfaction as well as funding streams to enhance students broadening their horizons with opportunities to travel abroad under the auspices of student life and leadership development. Participate fully in the overall leadership and management of leading aggressive capital outlay projects, in partnership with campus and community constituencies. Serve as a manager, with direct responsibility to prepare and monitor fund development, and endowment development. Assist with the initiation of various task forces, and the development of an array of new initiatives.
2005-2006 Vice President of University Advancement & Executive Director, Lincoln University - Missouri Responsibilities include: Chief Advancement Officer with oversight of the entire Advancement and Fund Raising Division. Senior administrative rank member of Lincoln University’s President’s Cabinet. Units of direct report: Alumni Affairs, Annual Fund, Public Relations, Development, Prospect Research, Lincoln University Foundation, Sponsored Research and Title III Program.
2001-2005 Director of Development Winston-Salem State University - North Carolina Responsibilities include: oversight of the entire Philanthropic operations for the School of Education and Health Sciences, Department of Computer Science and Life Sciences, O’Kelly Library and Research Center, and the university radio station, WSNC 90.5FM. Develop and maintain the Chancellor’s Moves Management Program and University Advancement Prospect Research Identification designed for solicitation and institutional stewardship. Also charged with Major Gift cultivation and solicitation program.

University Foundation grants funded position.
1993-1995 Consultant National Technical Association Community Enrichment Education Program (CEEP) Brooklyn, New York Developed a mentorship, career-awareness initiative entitled “Reaching Back.”
1989-1993 Founder and Weekly Facilitator of a Black and Latino Adolescent Male Support Program Louise Wise Services, New York, New York Program was designed to enhance each member’s growth and development, self-esteem, socialization and decision making skills.
1992-1993 Project Coordinator/Associate Research Scientist American Health Foundation New York, New York A Cancer Prevention Research Studey based in Harlem, New York. Responsibilities include: supervising and coordinating the research study on smoking cessation in four housing developments. Grant position, funded by National Cancer Institute (NCI). Developed a mentorship, career-awareness initiative titled “Reaching Back.”
1991-1992 Clinical Coordinator Reality House, Inc., New York, New York Responsibilities include: overseeing the daily operation of Reality House, Inc., day treatment program for substance abusers. Specific duties and responsibilities included: the administration, supervision and planning of the clinical staff operation and activities; worked in close conjunction with other supervisory staff to formulate policies and procedures for clientele. Grant position funded by Human Resources Administration (HRA).
1990-1991 Program Coordinator, Child Welfare Administrative Preventive Services/Substance Abuse Intensive Treatment Program Responsibilities included: supervising and coordinating primary care treatment and subordinate staff for case conferences and team meetings; planning and scheduling in-service staff training; providing regular reports on program’s progress; serving as a liaison for administrative matters. Grant position funded by Human Resources.
1989-1990 Project Director Student Government Leadership Project Youth Action Program, New York, New York Responsibilities included: overseeing and providing on-going direction and supervision for the management, implementation, on-going evaluation and administration of the Student Government Project of six public junior high schools located in East Harlem, New York. Additional responsibilities included: planning and coordinating annual student government retreats; drafting reports and proposals to foundations and potential funders on an on-going basis. Grant position funded by: Youth Services, Mott Foundation and “Reader’s Digest Foundation.”
1987-1989 After School Program Director/Day Camp Director Children’s Aid Society, New York, New York Responsibilities included: administering a $500,000 budget and overseeing the daily operations/activities for the day camp and after-school programs; other responsibilities included: served as staff supervisor, coordinated activities, field trips and programs. Served as administrative liaison actively engaged in networking and outreach within the community.
