program in College of Fine Arts

Nov. 9, 2006 -- For a second year, Drs. Calin and Mihaela Savu will host a benefit art auction at their home Saturday evening, Nov. 18, in support of scholarships for Arkansas State University students.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide scholarships for outstanding students in the ASU College of Fine Arts. Following last year’s event, two students, Corrie Backstrom of Little Rock and Elizabeth Flaga of Paragould, were awarded scholarships for the 2006-07 school year.

Clifford Toney will serve as auctioneer and Philip Jackson will provide entertainment.
