• February 2^nd – African-American History Month Read – A – Loud Program – Fox Meadow Elementary School. Sponsored by Teacher Education

• February 2^nd – Tribute to Carter G. Woodson – Carl R. Reng Center – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• February 2^nd – Evening with Mr. Ernest Green, of the Little Rock Nine, Riceland Hall – Fowler Center at 6:00 p.m. sponsored by: Office of the President and Student Activities Board

• February 3^rd – Part I of “Do You Remember” Series an Intimate Portrait of Civil Rights – Evening with Mr. Jim Jones 6:30 p.m. – Museum 157

• February 5th  – African-American History Month Program – Sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

• February 7^th – African-American History Month Parade to begin at 9:30 a.m. (Begin at Simmons First Bank on Caraway Rd.)

• February 12^th – African-American History Month Quiz Bowl – Sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Week Three:

• February 15^th – Jonesboro Community Tribute to Daisy L. Gaston-Bates. Featuring Mr. Ozell Sutton, Keynote Speaker. 3:00 p.m. Convocation Center Auditorium.

• February 17^th – Part III “Do You Remember” Series an Intimate Portrait of Civil Rights – Evening with Ms. Gertrude Jackson 6:30 p.m. – Museum 157

• February 18^th – African-American History Month Celebration – Sponsored by the ASU Chapter of the NAACP

• February 19^th – ASU Pride Day

• February 20^th – African-American History Month Celebration – Sponsored by United Voices Gospel Choir of Arkansas State University.

Week Four:

• February 23^rd -Poetry Slam – Sponsored by Student Activities Board

• February 24^th – Maya Angelou Lecture – Murray State University, Murray, KY – Students can register in the Office of Student Involvement.

• February 25^th – Miss Essence Pageant – Sponsored by Black Student Association.

• February 26^th – Part IV “Do You Remember” Series an Intimate Portrait of Civil Rights – Evening with Dr. Joanna Edwards 6:30 p.m. Museum 157
