Department of Music to present 
Wind Ensemble on Nov. 16

The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the Wind Ensemble in concert on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Fowler Center Riceland Hall.

The ASU Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands, will perform “Exhortation and Praise” by Alfred Reed; “The Gumsuckers March” by Percy Alridge Grainger; “Amazing Grace” by Frank Ticheli; “Morceau de Concert for Horn & Band” by Camille Saint-Saens, arranged by Charles DuBose, with Greg Osborne as horn soloist; “Chorale and Alleluia” by Howard Hanson; and “Chiaroscuro: Dances in Shades of Darkness and Light” by Robert Sheldon.

Members of the wind ensemble are Whitney Farris and Ashleigh Rainwater, both of Jonesboro, Tina Glover of Piggott, Caitlin Sammons of Bald Knob, Lindsay Walker of Hot Springs, and Melinda Watts of Nixa, Mo., flute; Amy Dunivan of Jonesboro and Emily Quinn of Bradley, Ill., oboe; Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., English horn; Alyssa Johnson of Bryant, bassoon; Angela Scott of Jonesboro, Katie Bell of West Memphis, Justin Crabb and Terana Griffin, both of Paragould, Nicole Nebeker of Trumann, Jennifer Specking of Wynne, Staci Stewart of Prescott and Amy Van Slyke of Hardy, clarinet; Misti Cook of Russellville, bass clarinet; Crystal Aronson of Paragould, Allene Kirk of Ravenden and Jon Rohner of Bono, alto saxophone; Drew Breckenridge of Newport, tenor saxophone; Tim Miller of Jonesboro, baritone saxophone; Grant Harbison and Peter Davis, both of Jonesboro, Kate Puckett of Wilson, Alicia Deckard of Hardy, Sherri Fincher and Chelsea Bills, both of Paragould, trumpet.

Other members of the wind ensemble include:  Brannon Brown of Cabot, Kim Brown and Greg Osborne, both of Jonesboro, Ashley McBride of Hardy and Lauren Grey of Poplar Bluff, Mo., French horn; Daniel Harrellson, Blake Howerton, Kenji Fisk and J.D. Houge, all of Jonesboro, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning and Corey Spencer of Wynne, trombone; Andrew Biggs and John Hayes, both of Jonesboro and Laura Garoutte of Cabot, euphonium; Ryan Riley of El Dorado, Jay Shepard of Paragould and Corey Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., tuba.
