Trombone Choir concert set for Nov. 8 The
Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present
the ASU Trombone Choir in concert on Monday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in
Fowler Center Riceland Hall. The Trombone Choir is under the direction of Dr. Neale Bartee. Musical selections for this concert will include: “Canzona” by Biagio Marini, “Sonata” by Daniel Speer, “Inveni” David by Anton Bruckner, “Kensington Portrait” by Jared Spears, “Do It Again” by George Gershwin, “Dreamsville” arranged by Henry Mancini, and “MacArthur Park” by Jim Webb arranged by Ray Carroll. Members
of the Trombone Choir are Ryan Barnet, Jason Payne and Corey Emerson, all
of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Jonathan Chatman of Newport, Tyrone Cobb of Dumas,
Kori Fisk of College Park, Md.; Keith Dortch, Blake Howerton, Jared
Huffmaster, and Jay Shepard, all of Paragould; Daniel Harrelson of Warren,
Celia King of Benton, Eric Palmer of Bald Knob, Corey Spencer of Wynne,
Seth Weston and John Hays, both of Jonesboro; and Tony Story of Brookland. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, please call the Department of Music at (870) 972-2094.
