Order of the Tribe set for Sept. 9: 
students get Pepsi's, pizza and T-shirts

The eighth annual Order of the Tribe will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Convocation Center on the campus of Arkansas State University.

Order of the Tribe is an event designed to create a sense of pride and spirit among ASU students.  Throughout the program, students will learn ways to support ASU athletics and how to get involved in campus organizations. A video will be presented on the history of ASU. 

Keith Kessinger, the ASU baseball coach, and Steve Roberts, the ASU football coach, will speak to the students. The ASU Band, the ASU Choir, and the United Voices Choir will perform. Door prizes will be awarded, and the grand door prize is two tickets to the performance of R&B artist Usher in Memphis.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with a live KISS-FM radio remote with free pizza and Pepsi for students. The first 2,000 ASU students will receive a free T-shirt.

This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board (SAB) and Student Government Association (SGA).
