ASU Museum to feature childrens' work: "Through a Child's Eyes XVII"

The Arkansas State University Museum is planning its annual exhibit of children’s art, and invites public and private schools within a 60-mile radius of Jonesboro to submit 10 entries per school for Through a Child’s Eyes XVIII.

Children whose schools are not submitting their work may enter one piece. Only one entry per artist whether submitted by a school or an individual. Children age four through eighth grade are eligible to enter the exhibit. Only two-dimensional work that is matted will be accepted. No framed work will be accepted.

Artwork for the exhibition is to be delivered to the museum by April 9, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  A reception and awards ceremony for the artists, their friends and families, and teachers will be held at the museum on Sunday, April 25, in the museum lobby.

Ribbons will be awarded to five of the each first, second, third place and honorable mention winners. The ASU College of Education has provided funds to purchase awards for the five eligible works.

For an entry form and rules, or more information, call the ASU Museum at (870) 972-2074.
