Alumnus named in Cosmopolitan
magazine's men issue

Adonis Thompson, a ’03 alumnus of Arkansas State University in JonesbThompsonAdonis01.jpg (376275 bytes)oro, has been named as one of the Hunkiest Hunks in America in the November Cosmopolitan, Cosmo Men issue.

Thompson, who lives in Jonesboro and currently works for KAIT-TV Channel 8 as a commercial producer/director, is originally from Pine Bluff.

Cosmopolitan tracked down “The Hunkiest Hunks in America” through a competitive process searching for one male from each state. Thompson was selected recently to represent Arkansas. He left Sunday, Oct. 4, for several days in New York City which included a media frenzy and celebrations in Manhattan. This year marks the ninth year of the Cosmo Men issue.

The Cosmo Men issue will hit the newsstands on Tuesday, Oct. 12, with 20 pages dedicated to the “hunkiest” bachelors. In addition to the biographical information, the men will tell their romantic side and give their own personal email address in the feature.

Thompson graduated last December from the ASU College of Communications with a degree in radio-TV.  While at ASU, he was a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Inc., Action Fund, Arkansas State Pan-hellenic Council, and the National Broadcasting Society. He was on the Homecoming Court, and was selected as Greek Man of the Year. He also served as a Tribal Leader and parliamentarian of the Student Government Association.

As a member of his fraternity, Thompson was instrumental in placing the benches around Unity Park, a display of the flags representing Greek letter fraternities and sororities on campus.
