Dr. Andrew Sustich named Interim vice chancellor for Research & Technology Effective May 1, Andrew Sustich has assumed the position of interim associate vice chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, according to Dr. Susan Allen, vice chancellor for Research and Academic Affairs. He is also currently the interim dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. Sustich holds a bachelor of science in nuclear engineering and a master’s and doctorate in physics, all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following a “visiting scientist appointment” at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University, Dr. Sustich joined the physics faculty at ASU in 1991. He is a full professor of physics and has served as associate dean and interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences prior to his current positions. Dr. Allen added, that he is replacing Dr. Don Cotten in this new position and will work to continue the significant advances in research and funding that Dr. Cotten was able to initiate. .
