The Arkansas State University Museum will present a program Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in conjunction with the exhibition The Finest High School for Negro Boys and Girls:  Dunbar High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, 1929-1955. The public is invited to the program and reception from 1:30 to 3:30.

Program presenters are Dorothy Mitchell Barnes, current president of the National Dunbar Alumni Association; Dr. Erma Glasco Davis, past president of the National Dunbar Alumni Association; and Julia Lawson, project director and dramatist. The history and impact of Dunbar High School will be addressed during their presentation.

The program will also include a recitation of a poem by Paul L. Dunbar, who was called the "Negro Poet Laureate."

The National Dunbar Alumni Association received partial exhibition funding from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Museum funding for the exhibition and reception was provided in part by the ASU Office of Diversity.

ASU Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  The exhibition will remain through Wednesday, Nov. 24.  The public is welcome.
