ASU Concert Orchestra performance
April 13 will raise scholarship funds

The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present the ASU Concert Orchestra on Tuesday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall of Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr.

The orchestra is conducted by Dr. Neale Bartee, professor of music. This concert also serves as a scholarship benefit for the Aileen Matthews String Scholarship at ASU.

Musical selections included in this performance are Pomp and Circumstance Military March No. 4 by Edward Elgar, Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni L’Arlesienne Suite No. 1 movement I. Overture, movement II. Minuetto, movement III. Adegietto, and movement IV. Carillon by Georges Bizet, Symphony No. 5 in C minor movement I. Allegro con brio by Ludwig van Beethoven, Variations of a Shaker Melody from Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland, and Russian Sailor’s Dance from The Red Poppy by Reinhold Giliere.
