Communications presents David
Hershey of Dallas will be the featured speaker at the College of
Communications alumni seminar during Homecoming 2004 at Arkansas State
University in Jonesboro. The seminar will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct.
16. The College of Communications alumni seminar is held annually during Homecoming week. This year, the ASU Indians will play Troy State on the evening of Oct. 16 for the Homecoming football game. A barbecue lunch will follow Hershey’s speech at 11 a.m. in the College of Communications break room. The barbecue lunch is free, but reservations are requested. Hershey graduated from ASU in 1991, and is currently director of creative services for television stations KTVK and KTXA in Dallas/Fort Worth. He has won seven regional Emmy Awards and has also won ABC and CBS awards for excellence in promotion. He has served as director of creative services for both KATV, Channel 7, in Little Rock and WJLA and Newschannel 8 in Washington, D.C. ASU-TV
is also seeking alumni from the Department of Radio-TV to volunteer as
crew members during the homecoming football game. Alumni will serve with
current radio-TV students to produce video for the scoreboard screen and
ASU-TV cable channel playback. Advance
