Dedication, Grand Opening of ASU's Biosciences Institute: Saturday, Sept. 18 The Arkansas State University Biosciences Institute will host its Dedication Ceremony and Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m.  The new facility is located at the intersection of Caraway Road and
University Loop East, on the south edge of the campus.Following remarks by ASU President Dr. Les Wyatt, others expected to speak are Arkansas Attorney General and ASU alumnus Mike Beebe; Dr. Harry Ward, chancellor emeritus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; Dr. Carole L. Cramer, executive director of the ASU Biosciences Institute; and Mike Medlock of Jonesboro, chair of the ASU Board of Trustees. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the building will then be open until noon for tours, which will begin at the first floor reception desk. Refreshments will be served. In the future, access will be tightly controlled in the Biosciences Institute, so this event will be a rare opportunity for the general public to view the facility. Everyone is invited to attend. # # # |
