University Singers to present concert 
on Monday, Nov. 17 at Fowler Center

The Department of Music at Arkansas State University will present the ASU University Singers in concert on Monday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall, 201 Olympic Dr.

The Singers, divided into Women's Choir and Men's Choir, will be conducted by Dr. Dale Miller, director of choral activities, and Sherry Fagan, graduate choral assistant.  

The groups will sing music of the 16th through the 21st centuries, and will include both sacred and secular selections by Morley, Michael Haydn, Mendelssohn, Copland, and others.  The groups will combine to sing "Think on Me" by Mulholland.

            The University Singers are accompanied by Stephen Leslie, piano; Jonathan Rohner, saxophone; John T. Hays, string bass; and Perry Harper, Tommy Ware, Janet Haner, and Tony Story, percussionists. 

Personnel include Beth Hendrix and Kristina Kellems of Jonesboro, Rachel Barton of Sheridan, Sherry Fagan of Valrico, Fla., Caycee Hennan of Highland, Jamie Thompson of Rison, Lilly Miller of Mayflower, and Sasha Powers of Paragould, First Sopranos.  

Masami Shiono of Nara, Japan, Crystal Stormes of Goobertown, Brioney Hellums of Mount Pleasant, Secret Rackley, Kristin Murray, Carol Ann Segraves and Cindy Sterling of Jonesboro, Alison Hoskin of West Memphis, and Amelia Angel Russell of Stamps, Second Sopranos.
