Trombone Choir to present
concert, Wednesday, March 12


The Arkansas State University Music Department will present the Trombone Choir in concert Wednesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Art Center’s Recital Hall.

The Trombone Choir is conducted by Dr. Neale Bartee.

The program for this concert will include Ricercare by Andrea Gabrieli, arranged by Jay Friedman; Contrapunctus I by Johann Sebastian Bach, arranged by Glenn Smith; Drei Equale for 4 Trombones by Ludwig van Beethoven; Canzona for 8 Trombones by Walter S. Hartley; Those Gospel Blues by James Christensen; Pacific Daylight by Michael Davis; and Superstar Medley by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The personnel for the Trombone Choir are Ryan Barnet of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Daniel Harrelson of Warren, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, Preston Hines of Westside, J.D. Hugue of Jonesboro, Celia King of Benton, Tom Mason of Manila, Jason Payne of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Eric Palmer of Bald Knob, Corey Spencer of Wynne, Matt Stripling of Jonesboro, and Seth Weston of Jonesboro, tuba; Roby Johnson of Jonesboro, piano; John Hays of Jonesboro, bass, and T.J. Burgess of Jonesboro, drums.

The concert is free and the public is welcome to attend.
