Faculty, staff to participate in
African-American Read-In at Hillcrest

Arkansas State University faculty and staff, and other community members, will participate Monday in the 14^th annual African-American Read-In as part of Black History Month celebrations. The Read-In will take place at Jonesboro’s Hillcrest Elementary School, 1804 Hillcrest Drive.

The event is sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English. Readers will share books written by African Americans to students in various classrooms. This is ASU's fourth year participating in this event.

Participants for the African-American Read-In include Jacquelyn Gilbert, Cynthia Cooper, Angela Walker, Cecilia Jones, and Drs. Lille Fears, Glen Jones, Simon Whitaker, Veda McCain, Thomas Williams and Arthur McLean.
