The Tribe set to perform
Monday, Feb. 10


The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present the Tribe in concert Monday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m., in Riceland Hall at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive. The Tribe is under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands.

Musical selections for this concert will include "Fly Me to the Moon," by Bart Howard, arranged by Nestico; "Woody N’ You," by Dizzy Gillespie, arranged by Tomaro; "Have You Heard," by Pat Metheny, arranged by Curnow; "A Noble Journey to Valdez," by Pete Lengyel; "Slide’s Derangement," by Slide Hampton; "Lament," by J.J. Johnson arranged by Tomaro; and "Schmooze," by Al Kiger.

Members of the Tribe include Jonathan Rohner and Amy Dunivan, both of Jonesboro, alto saxophone; Damien Sanchez of Miami, Fla., and Drew Breckenridge of Newport, tenor saxophone; Shane Hill of Halls, Tenn., baritone saxophone; Grant Garland, Sara Garland, both of Corning, Sheri Fincher, Angela Sutherland, both of Jonesboro, and Will Hartsell of Forrest City, trumpet; Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, Matt Strawbridge, Daniel Harrelson, both of Jonesboro, and Corey Spencer of Wynne, trombone.
