Diversity Through You’ Day for high school juniors is Feb. 22 Arkansas State University continues to celebrate Black History Month by hosting "Discover Diversity Through You Day" for area high school juniors Saturday, Feb. 22. The Office of Admissions is hosting this one-day event full of activities. Students will be able to meet and discuss various issues with faculty and staff from ASU. A luncheon event will follow registration in the Reng Center Ballroom at 11:30 a.m. The United Voices choir will perform, and students will be greeted by Dr. Glen Jones, assistant to the university president. Guest speaker Elizabeth Eckford, one of the Little Rock Nine who helped to integrate Little Rock Central High School, will speak at noon. Various activities have been scheduled for the afternoon to familiarize students with various student services on campus, including career planning, student development, campus tours and student involvement. The day will conclude with a basketball game at the Convocation Center, as the ASU Indians take on New Mexico State.
