ASU – Jonesboro: 97 students
designated for Who’s Who honor

Arkansas State University in Jonesboro has named 97 students to the 2003-04 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

An ASU nominating committee and the editors of the Who’s Who directory made the selections. The award is based on academic achievement, university and community service, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success.

Dr. Les Wyatt, president of ASU, and deans of the various colleges recognized the award winners recently during a ceremony at the Fowler Center on the university campus.

One student among the group of 97, Casey Lynn Barron of DeWitt, was recognized as the most outstanding Who’s Who student.

The annual directory, published since 1934, honors outstanding students at more than 2,300 institutions in the United States and several other countries.
