Percussion
Ensemble to perform on Nov. 13 The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the ASU Percussion Ensemble in concert Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fowler Center Riceland Hall. The Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Craig Collison. Musical selections for this concert will include Sonatina by Fischer Tull; an Afro-Cuban drumming piece entitled Osain written by Michael Spiro; Some Uptown Hip Hop by Arthur Lipner which features a calypso-steel drum; the contemporary Hook for Percussion Quartet by Graham Fitkin; and Mas Fuerte by Stephen Rush. Members of the Percussion Ensemble are: Alex Anderson of Marion, Tina Gragg, Brian Hill, and Ben White, all of Jonesboro; Janet Haner of Trumann, Perry Harper of Paragould, Russell Niemyer of Prescott, Ben Pruett of Bono, Carl Roberts of Forrest City, Tony Story of Brookland, Tommie Ware of West Memphis.
