Wind Ensemble Concert
set for Tuesday, Feb. 26



The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present the Wind Ensemble in concert Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive.

The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands.

The program will consist of "Moorside March" by Gustav Holst; "Lochinvar" by James Curnow; "A Movement for Rosa" by Mark Camphouse; "Concertino for Percussion and Band" by Clifton Williams; "Barber of Seville Overture" by Giacchino Rossini, arranged by Mathew Lake; and "Incantation and Dance" by John Barnes Chance.

Ensemble members include Shelly Lunbeck and Whitney Farris, both of Jonesboro, Tina Glover of Piggott, Candice Harrison of Bryant and Angie Hewitt of Benton, flute; Shandee Dillon of Jacksonville and Miguel Picanco of Jonesboro, oboe; Lakisha Allen of Forrest City, Tonya Butcher of Batesville, Tara Hooker of Trumann, Jeany Morrison of Derry, N.H., B.J. Picanco of Bono, Ashlea Rudder of Jonesboro and Jessica Spooner of Paragould, clarinet;

Sereatha Sullivan of Jonesboro, bass clarinet; Nicole Carroll of Bryant and Mike Scott of Jonesboro, bassoon; Laurie Kinder of Salem, David Robinson of Newport, alto saxophones; Jonathan Rohner of Bono, tenor saxophone; Shane Hill of Halls, Tenn., baritone saxophone; Peter Davis of Jonesboro, Grant Garland of Heber Springs, Joe Deaton of Kaiser, Jimmy Gazaway of Paragould, Sarah Garland of Heber Springs and Angela Sutherland of Piggott, trumpet;

Nicolae Balu of Romania, Rhonda Herring of Sherwood, Greg Osbourne of Jonesboro and Elizabeth Sullivan of Sherwood, French horn; Daniel Harrelson of Monticello, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, Celia King of Benton, Corey Spencer of Wynne and Mathew Strawbridge and Robby Bennett, both of Jonesboro, trombone; Daryol Edwards of Jonesboro and Forrest Rodgers of Jacksonville, baritone; John Hays of Jonesboro, Justin Lowe of Hardy and Jason Tacker of Wynne, tuba; Jonathan Murray of Bryant, Russell Niemeyer of Prescott, Carl Roberts of Forrest City, Ben Runnels, Ben White and Tina Gragg, all of Jonesboro, percussion.
