7, 2001 Kathryn White honored in Charles Schultz cartoonist competition Kathryn White of Weiner, a graphic design major at Arkansas State University, recently was honored for her achievements in a national competition. White was named a top 10 finalist in the annual Charles M. Schultz College Cartoonist Award competition, sponsored by Scripps Howard Foundation. The award honors the memory of the creator of the comic strip "Peanuts." A senior at ASU, she has been a cartoonist for The Herald, the student newspaper at ASU, for the past four years. The other finalist schools included Michigan State University, Iowa State University, University of North Carolina, University of Tennessee and Berkeley. |
