Students exhibit research during
5th annual Undergraduate Scholars Day

Research projects by 37 students at Arkansas State University were chosen for public presentation or display during the fifth annual Undergraduate Scholars Day, Monday, April 15.

The event, held during Convocation of Scholars, showcases ASU students’ research and creative activities. A catalog of all projects was distributed to visitors who attended the sessions in the Reng Center.

The students, hometowns, and presentation topics were as follows:

Panel 1: Undergraduate Research in Engineering

Lee Ketchum (Blytheville): "Continued Research in Electroplating of Environmentally Low Hazard But Difficult-to-Plate Metals and Alloys by Induced Code Position Followed by Anodic Stripping of Easier-to-Plate Metals."

Gustavo Rehder (Brazil): "Optimization of the Photoconductivity in Powder Sprayed and Thermal Vacuum Evaporated Indium (III) Sulfide and Bismuth (III) Sulfide Thin Films."

Randy Stidham (Vanndale): "Thermal Vacuum Evaporation of Indium Sulfide Thin Films Onto Printed Circuit Boards and Indium Tin Oxide-Coated Glass Substrates for Use as Photovoltaic and Photoconductive Cells."
