Opening, Groundbreaking ceremonies Friday for 3 ASU facilities Arkansas State University will conduct three ceremonies Friday afternoon to mark the completion of one facility and the beginning of construction of two others. "Scissors and Shovels 2002" is the theme for the series of events, which are open to the public. The grand opening and ribbon cutting for the North Parking Facility will begin at 1 p.m. at the Caraway Road entrance. At 1:25 p.m., ground breaking will be held for the Family Village apartment complex on Robinson Street. The third event, at 1:50 p.m., will be a ground breaking for the Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences Track Complex, west of Caraway Road between the railroad tracks. Other special activities on campus Friday will include the Board of Trustees meeting at 10 a.m. in the Board Room of the Dean B. Ellis Library, and Spring Commencement at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center. # # # |
