Percussion Ensemble
to perform Wednesday, April 11


The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present a Percussion Ensemble concert on Wednesday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center, located on Olympic Drive. The ensemble is under the direction of Craig Collison.

The concert repertoire will consist of "Bicksa" by Thom Hasenpflug; "An Idyll for the Misbegotten" by George Crumb; "Fluffy Ruffles" by George Hamilton Green, arranged by Bill Cahn; "Metric Lips" by Bela Fleck, arranged by David Steinquest; and "Mitos Brasileiros" by Ney Rosauro.

Personnel for the group includes Tina Gragg of Jonesboro; Kirk Londier of Corning; Russell Niemyer of Prescott; Carl Roberts of Forrest City; and John Murray of Bryant. Featured musical guests will be flutist Joe Bonner, professor of flute, and bass guitarist Ed Alexander, director of bands.
