28, 2001 Percussion Ensemble to perform Wednesday, April 11 The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present a Percussion Ensemble concert on Wednesday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center, located on Olympic Drive. The ensemble is under the direction of Craig Collison. The concert repertoire will consist of "Bicksa" by Thom Hasenpflug; "An Idyll for the Misbegotten" by George Crumb; "Fluffy Ruffles" by George Hamilton Green, arranged by Bill Cahn; "Metric Lips" by Bela Fleck, arranged by David Steinquest; and "Mitos Brasileiros" by Ney Rosauro. Personnel for the group includes Tina Gragg of Jonesboro; Kirk Londier of Corning; Russell Niemyer of Prescott; Carl Roberts of Forrest City; and John Murray of Bryant. Featured musical guests will be flutist Joe Bonner, professor of flute, and bass guitarist Ed Alexander, director of bands. The free concert is open to the public.
