15, 2001 ASU Museum to host 'A Gathering of Women' exhibit "A Gathering of Women: Arkansas Women 1930-2000" will be on exhibit at the Arkansas State University Museum in the main gallery until Sunday, Oct. 28. The exhibition focuses on the advances made by Arkansas women in politics, legal rights, occupations, religion and healthcare. Contributions made by Arkansas women during the Depression, World War II, the arts and sports are also covered. The exhibition was created from a women’s history project at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The project received support from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities. The project was funded in part by the Real Estate Transfer Tax and the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information call 870-972-2074. # # # |
