burns in early morning blaze The state fire marshal is investigating an early morning fire which heavily damaged the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house on Olympic Drive. Based on the preliminary investigation, the fire marshal has concluded that arson is the likely cause. The national Sig Ep office has been notified. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The University Police Department is securing the site for public safety and to prevent interference with the crime scene. Anyone with information which might be helpful to investigators should contact the University Police Department, which is assisting the Fire Marshal's office, or the Fire Marshall's office directly, 932-2428. # # # |
