7, 2001 Fowler Center will host the Glenn Miller Orchestra Fowler Center at Arkansas State University will present the Glenn Miller Orchestra in concert Tuesday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is part of Fowler Center’s series of professional presentations. The world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most popular and sought-after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance arrangements. With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present group was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year. Trombonist Larry O’Brien is the ensemble’s present musical director. All tickets for the concert in Riceland Hall are for reserved seating. Admission is $13 and $18 ($10 and $14 for students). The Central Box Office telephone is 870-972-ASU1 (2781).
