29, 2001 Equine Center to present 'May Fair, A Variety Horse Show' The Arkansas State University Equine Center will host a "May Fair, A Variety Horse Show" Saturday, July 14, at the Garry Meadows Arena and grounds, located off Arkansas 49. The event, which will raise funds for the equitation classes and student use, will begin at 8 a.m. Event coordinators are still seeking corporate sponsors for classes and competitions, from English dressage, cross country and show jumping to western pleasure, reining and horsemanship. There is a special category of classes for all disciplines and all ages including costume, obstacle, open trail, and games for horse and riders. Corporate sponsors include local veterinarians and businesses. However, event planners are still looking sponsors to assist in covering costs. Participants’ cost per competition event is $5. Pre-registration is required for dressage and cross country events by Wednesday, July 11. All other participants may register for classes on the day of the show. Ribbons will be awarded in most classes. For more details, contact Bonnie Dingman at the Equine Center, 870-972-2053. # # #
