College of Business to host
Emerald Gala dinner and dance

The College of Business at Arkansas State University will host a scholarship benefit Emerald Gala dinner and dance Friday, March 9, at the Holiday Inn Holidome, 3006 South Caraway Road.

The black tie optional event is to help raise scholarship funds for College of Business students at ASU. The event will begin at 6 p.m., and will feature the Jim Johnson Orchestra.

"The purpose of the first Emerald Gala Scholarship Benefit is to raise money to provide scholarships that will attract outstanding students into our programs," Dr. Jan Duggar, dean of the College of Business said. "We would like to be able to offer scholarships to outstanding business students transferring into the college as well as using scholarships to build student interest in key programs.

"The Emerald Gala will be a great dinner-dance that all will enjoy. It is a wonderful opportunity for alumni, faculty and staff, students, and friends of the college to meet socially for a very enjoyable evening. We hope that it will become a highlight of the college’s efforts to involve alumni and friends in its continuous improvement efforts."

Tickets are $60 each. All major credit cards are accepted.
