Botanic
illustrations by DD Dowden on exhibition at ASU Museum Botanic Illustrations by DD Dowden are currently on exhibition in the main gallery of the Arkansas State University Museum. The exhibition of 43 watercolors and 38 ink drawings will be on display through Sept. 29. Dowden has worked in the publishing industry for the past 18 years. She has illustrated, designed and computer produced more than 100 titles. Her clients have included Dummies, Cliff Notes Complete, Peregrine Smith Books, Botanica Press, Montana Historical Society Press, Falcon Publishing, Far Country Press, Insider’s Guides, Sky House Publishers, Two Dot Books, Riverbend Publishing, Celiac Press, Idaho Press and Montana Magazine. In addition she has worked with numerous non-profit organizations. Dowden grew up in Jonesboro and is a graduate of Arkansas State University. Currently she lives and works in Helena, Montana. The ASU Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The public is invited. Admission is free.
