8, 2002 Office of Admissions to host diversity recruitment event The Arkansas State University Office of Admissions will host its fourth annual "Discover Diversity Through You Day" Saturday, Feb. 16, as part of the university’s Black History Month celebration. The day is designed to give minority students a closer look into college life and career planning, and is part of ASU’s recruitment effort. Workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Carl R. Reng Center. "We want to provide minority high school juniors with the opportunity to be exposed to what it’s like to be on a college campus, provide them with information and motivate these students to come to college," Marian Wells, assistant director of admissions and coordinator of minority recruitment, said. High school juniors from Northeast Arkansas and the Memphis area are invited to attend. This year’s theme is "Each One Different, All the Same."
