16, 2002 Entries sought for annual exhibit: Through a Child’s Eyes XVI The Arkansas State University Museum is planning the annual exhibit of children’s art, Through a Child’s Eyes XVI. Public and private schools within a 60-mile radius of Jonesboro are encouraged to submit up to 10 entries per school for exhibit. Children whose schools are not submitting their work may enter one piece. Only one entry per artist is allowed whether submitted by a school or an individual. Children age four through eighth grade are eligible to enter the exhibit. Only two-dimensional work is accepted. Artwork for the exhibition is to be delivered to the museum by March 22. A reception and awards ceremony for the artists, their friends and families and teachers will be held at the ASU Museum on Sunday, April 7, in the museum lobby. Ribbons will be awarded to five First, Second, Third place and Honorable Mention winners. The College of Education at Arkansas State University has provided money for $50 purchase awards of five eligible works.
