Concert Choir, Chamber Singers
to present Christmas Concert Dec. 3


The Arkansas State University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers Christmas Concert will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive. 

The choirs will be conducted by Dr. Dale Miller, director of choral activities, and graduate assistant Meagan Adams. Ellen Philpot will accompany the groups.

The Chamber Singers will perform "A Christmas Wish," by Val Hicks; "He Is Born," arranged by Roger Wagner; "I Wonder as I Wander," arranged by John Jacob Niles; "Allon, Gay Bergeres," by Guillaume Costeley; "A Joyous Christmas Carol," by Houston Bright; and "Notre Pere," by Maurice Durufle.

The Concert Choir will sing "Festival Deck the Hall," arranged by Jay Althouse; "Resonet in Laudibus," by Randall Stroope; "Ding Dong Merrily on High," and "Hodie Christus Natus Est," by Giovanni Gabrieli; "Hymn to the Virgin," by Benjamin Britten; and "Gloria," by Kirke Mechem.

Personnel include Cassie Black of Searcy, Lisa Blakely of Fort Smith, April Gordon of West Helena, Caycee Hennan of Highland, Emily Terwilliger of Russellville, Emily Rodgers and Sylenia Lewis, both of Jonesboro, and Krystal Story of Camden, soprano I; Betsy Ashcraft of Horn Lake, Miss., Amy Crow of Azores, Portugal, Tiffany Flannigan of Manila, Catie Holiman of Gideon, Mo., Hayley Ralston of Pine Bluff, and Erin Sims of Searcy, soprano II; Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., Rachel Jaramillo, Chantal McPherson and Rachel Warnick, all of Jonesboro, Sarah Stutts of Manila, Patty Taylor of McCook, Texas, and Match Shiono of Forrest City, alto I; Marla Thomas of Jacksonville, Lauren Hawkins of Jonesboro, Missy Martin of Wynne, Jennifer Pham of Maple Grove, Minn., and Crystal Richards of Osceola, alto II;

Matthew Cureton of Arbyrd, Mo., Justin Griffin of Sikeston, Mo., and Nicholas Sheppard of Doniphan, Mo., tenor I; Ryan Bane of Trumann, Brent Butler Stuttgart, Justin Patterson of Lepanto and Christopher France of Little Rock, tenor II; Edmond Hampton of Fort Smith, Daniel Harrelson of Warren, Andrew Kjorlaug and Jonathan Schug, both of Paragould, Keith Westbrook of Benton, and Calvin Key of Little Rock, baritone; John Hays of Jonesboro, Justin Lowe of Highland, Chase Gist of Wynne, Patrick Manes of Bryant, and Cory Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., bass.
