The ASU Choral Department will present a Madrigal Dinner Feaste of Carols, Dec. 2, 3 and 4, at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Jonesboro, 6 p.m.  The Chamber Singers will host an evening filled with song, dance and feasting in the style of "Merrie Old England."  Tickets may be purchased at the ASU Box Office or Premiere Video in Jonesboro and Carter's Corner in Paragould.  Ticket prices are $25 each and discount tickets at the price of $20 are available to senior citizens and ASU students, faculty and staff.  For more information, contact Dr. Dale Miller at 972-2094.

Administration Building Christmas Open House will be Thursday, Dec. 2, from 2-4 p.m. in the lobby.  The theme will be "The Heart of Christmas is Love."    The committee members are selling hearts for $1, with all donations going to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.  These hearts will decorate the Administration Building Lobby throughout the season.  Show your support for our community by making this holiday season a little brighter for those less fortunate. You may also place a non-perishable food item in a marked box in the lobby of your building.

Vacation Leave: Employees who have accrued more than 240 hours of vacation by the end of December need to complete leave request forms and return them to Payroll no later than Dec. 6.  Payroll will automatically set your vacation balance back to 240 hours on Jan. 1 if the leave request forms are not received.  For details, call the Payroll Office, 972-3454.

The Arkansas Council for Women in Higher Education (ACWHE) will award up to three scholarships of $500 each to outstanding women in Arkansas higher education.  ASU has had at least three recipients of this award in the past two years.  Each applicant must be a full-time female faculty or staff member at a ACWHE school; must hold at least a bachelor's degree; and must be accepted in a graduate program.  Applications must be postmarked by Dec. 15.  For details or for an application, contact  Robin Hicks, Finance and Administration, 910-8200, or rhicks@omaha.astate.edu.
