15, 2001 College of Nursing, Health Professions to present interactive telecast on asthma The College of Nursing and Health Professions at Arkansas State University will host an interactive satellite broadcast entitled, "A Public Health Response to Asthma," on Thursday, May 17, from noon until 2:30 p.m. The telecast can be seen at the Jonesboro campus, as well as ASU Beebe and Mountain Home. The event is sponsored by the Center for Disease Control’s National Center for Environmental Health, the Public Health Practice Program Office, the Public Health Training Network and the American Pharmaceutical Association. The telecast will explain why asthma is an escalating problem in our nation. Successful surveillance programs will be discussed to provide organizations the tools necessary to combat the disease within their communities. The event is open to medical personnel, agency and community members. The broadcast can be seen at the Jonesboro campus in the College of Nursing and Health Professions building, room 601; at the Beebe campus in the University Center, room 113; and at the Mountain Home campus in the Mitchell Telecom Center, room 1. No pre-registration is required for the free program. |
