Center to present Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Downloadable Image The Arkansas State University Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, will host the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra as part of their 2002-03 series on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. in Riceland Hall. Now in its 37th season, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is lead by American conductor David Itkin. He is the group’s fourth music director, and has conducted symphony, opera and ballet across the United States and in nine countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. ASU Department of Music faculty who perform with the Symphony Orchestra include Dr. Robin Dauer, Richard Jorgensen, Ken Hatch, Craig Collison and Ed Owen. The musical ensemble performs more than 20 concerts at Robinson Center Music Hall each season on its Masterworks and Pops Live! series, as well as an annual Black History Month Celebration and children’s concerts. The ASO also maintains a busy schedule of state-wide touring, chamber music and educational performances. The group also collaborates with Ballet Arkansas, Arkansas Choral Society and the Arkansas Chamber Singers in their annual seasonal performances. Admission for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is $24 for adults and $19 for students; or $15 for adults and $12 for students, depending on the seat location.
