United Way and ASU: United Way and ASU: The United Way Campaign is now well underway.  Approximately 90 volunteers from ASU helped carry out this year's theme, "Put a Little Love in Your Heart," by volunteering to work at United Way agencies during Day of Caring on Sept. 17.  When you give to United Way, you are giving to help people and families who share the same streets, churches, workplaces and parks as you and your family.  Click on United Way for a list of what your donation can provide.  Also, don't forget that your donation makes you eligible for some great prizes.

Binding equipment donated to Journalism and Printing: The Muller Martini Corp. of Hauppage, N.Y., has donated a piece of state-of-the-art commercial binding equipment to the Department of Journalism and Printing.  Bob Stock, a member of the ASU Printing Advisory Board, arranged for the donation and installation of the Muller Martini Model 1550 Presto Saddle Collator, Stitcher and Trimmer, which is valued at $150,000.  The company offers a full range of post press finishing systems, as well as variable size web offset presses for commercial printers, binderies and newspapers.  The gift will enhance the printing department's productivity and printing students' education.

Ladies Night Out: The Ladies Night Out Women's Health Seminar is set for 6-8:30 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 5, in the Convocation Center.  Seating is limited, and reservations are required for the free dinner and seminar.  Issues to be discussed are menopause, osteoporosis, breast cancer patient options, and cosmetic surgery.  Following their presentations, physicians Charles L. Barker, Kevin D. Ganong, K. Bruce Jones, and Connie Hiers will answer questions from the audience.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 29.  For details, call Regional Medical Center Marketing Department at 972-7012.
