90 Years of Arkansas State University
featured in ASU Museum exhibit

"90 Years of Arkansas State University" celebrates Convocation of Scholars at the ASU Museum.  Exhibited in the lobby are 15 photomurals exploring the history of the school from its first days in 1910 to the present.  The exhibit will open Monday and continue through June 3.

Included are images of an early homecoming float, the Administration Building destroyed by fire in 1931, the World War II Army Administration School, the Arkansas State College Band marching down Pennsylvania Avenue for John F. Kennedy's inauguration, and the celebration of achieving university status.

The most recent images are of the Convocation Center, the first doctoral degree being awarded, and President Clinton dedicating the Dean B. Ellis Library.

Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  The public is welcome and admission is free.
