28, 2001 Symphonic Band will perform in Riceland Hall The Arkansas State University Department of Music will present the Symphonic Band Tuesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m., in Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center, located on Olympic Drive. The group will be under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands. The program will consist of "Cenotaph" by Jack Stamp; "Culloden, movement I" by Julie Giroux; "Introduction and Festival" by David Shaffer; "Procession of the Nobles" by Nicholas Rimsky-Korsakov, arranged by Erik Leidzen; "Salvation is Created" by Tschesnokoff, arranged by Bruce Houseknecht; and "The Gathering of the Ranks at Hebron" by David Holsinger. The personnel for the group include Denise Seal, Trena Coombe, Amanda Suel, and Skye Williams, flutes; Audra House and Matt Howard, oboes; Mike Scott, bassoon; Heather Laseter, Jessica Spooner, Tara Hooker, B.J. Picanco, Lynn Westcott, Ana Pitt, Casey Stafford, and Rebecca Chambers, clarinets; Seretha Sullivan, bass clarinet; Jonathan Fulkerson, Jason Jimmers, Alene Kirk and Beverly Boyles, alto saxophones; Tim Miller, tenor saxophone; Vic Swain, baritone saxophone; Sara Garland, Grant Garland, Matt Morse, Jeremy House, Chad Mary, Brant Harmon and Jenny Evert, trumpets; Donnie Rawlings, Audrey Hoyt, Claire Oliver, Dewayne Williams, Cayce Hennan and Kristin Faulkner; French horns; Tony Mirabella, Robby Bennett, Matt Strawbridge, Faris Paxton and Jeremy Culbreath, trombones; Jessica Westcott, Jason Masiongale and Nick Yielding, euphonium; Roby Johnson, Nick Garrett, Michael Grant and Rusty Shields, tubas; Ben Pruett, Brian Hill, Ralo Brown, John Jarrell and Eric Johnson, percussion.
