June 7, 2007 -- The university today issued the
following statement from Dr. Glen Jones, interim vice chancellor for
academic affairs and research: STATEMENT ON ASU SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY Protection of the safety and well-being of our students is of utmost importance to the faculty, staff, and administration of ASU. We have a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment and will not tolerate any employee or student violating this policy. When allegations of sexual harassment occur, the matter is promptly investigated and, when an allegation is determined to be valid, an appropriate remedy is identified and implemented. We have utilized this process and our procedures have resulted in outcomes that protect the interests of our students, faculty, staff, and university. Dr. Glen Jones # # #
