professor Dr. Mildred Vance set for honors at reception Monday, Jan. 20 Arkansas State University and the Department of Teacher Education will take time Monday, Jan. 20, to honor Dr. Mildred Vance, professor of education. A reception will be held in the Grand Hall at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, from 3 until 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Dr. Vance, who announced her retirement to colleagues shortly before the winter holiday, has been employed by the university for 54 years. Former students, colleagues, friends and guests are invited to contribute to a "book of memories," which will be presented to her.
